This 3D model shows what are called ground-glass opacities in the lungs of a -19 patient. These opacities on the CT scan indicate pneumonia as the spaces which are normally filled by air are being filled with something else.

It reveals how their lungs are being ravaged by the virus and filled with a sticky mucus that prevents them from inhaling because there is no space for air.

Corona Virus COVID 19 Pneumonia CT Model derived from non contrast CT data set. Shows the severe damage the coronavirus inflicted on the lungs.
